Since auto loans are typically five years in length, this higher interest makes your payments higher than they would be if you were able to obtain a bank loan.
Many car lot owners advertise easy financing or easy terms. While this may be an ideal solution for bad credit auto loans, you should beware. As many people find out, that easy financing isn’t everything that it is cracked up to be. The down payment is often very high, the interest is high – and if you miss one payment the automobile is usually repossessed. This means that you are out any money that you have already put in, with no hope of getting the money – or the vehicle – returned to you.
The next time you are shopping for a car with less than perfect credit, and you find a dealer offering easy financing, read all of the fine print to find out exactly why that financing is so easily offered and obtained. There seems to always be a catch.
