Health Alternative
According to the rules of hygiene we need to wash our body at least once in two days, and our lower part daily, thus the procedure of bathing is a sheer necessity. However, with the advance of herbal and aromatherapy it has also become a means of treatment of body and soul.
Out of four natural elements water is considered to have the most healing properties. Scientists even proved that it changes its crystal structure depending on the emotions of the person. Thus, when the words like “love”, “happiness” were pronounced over the water, its crystal structure changed into more regular and symmetric one, while words like “war”, “hatred” made the structure of crystals asymmetric. Can you imagine how great will its healing power be if combined with natural oils, decoctions or petals!
We would like to share some great recipes for a healing bath with you. The advantage of making your own decoction or oil mix for the bath is that it is fun combined with your own management of what effect you want to achieve. For instance, if you are allergic to some oil or herb, you will exclude it from your mixture or substitute by something else.
To begin with, for making a special bath you need to buy all the needed ingredients. The question arises as to where you get them. The answer is simple: you buy them at herb retailers, local supermarket, health food stores, farmers market or order online. From my own experience, it is better to buy dried or fresh herbs from farmers market as they are usually more natural. By this I mean, that they are not treated by some chemicals for better storage.
Now let us get to some recipes.
To increase your sexual potential, use the mixtures of the following oils: mix orange oil, ylang-ylang oil, juniper oil, rose oil and geranium oil. All these oils have good effect on urogenital system of both men and women.
To fight stress and insomnia: either make a decoction of lavender stems, mint leaves and hop cones by boiling the mix for about 10 minutes, or mix lavender oil, melissa oil, cypress oil and lemon oil and add to the bath.
To fight colds: mix aloe juice with a warm decoction of mint, oak bark, thyme and pine and pour it to your bath, or mix mint oil, juniper oil, tea tree oil and eucalyptus oil and add to the bath.
To get your body off toxins: add sea salt to your bath and a few drops of sea-buckthorn oil, juniper oil, bergamot oil, cinnamon oil and nutmeg oil. It is also great to have a pearl effervescent bath with cedar oil or cedar scented sea salt.
