How To Turn Your Struggle With Baltimore Internet Marketing Into a Successful Home Based Business
How To Turn Your Struggle With Baltimore Internet Marketing Into A Successful Home Based Business.,
If you have failed with your past internet marketing efforts, please sit up and pay attention to see why you’re going to succeed with your internet marketing business.
The most common theme amongst all business owners is that they make mistakes. So why do people get so disheartened when they make mistakes building their internet marketing business? Well for one, it’s because there were so many promises made to them, and unsuspecting newbies to internet marketing will grasp on to ideas and dream that overnight Internet riches is possible. AS you are probably well aware by now, that is not the case, and never will be. The over-promising and under-delivering comes into play with sales pages that promise the world, and products that deliver nothing useful. This happens to everyone, and I’m writing to you now in the hopes that you didn’t blow your tax refund or retirement account on some home-study courses that didn’t really help you much. You may consider this money poorly spent, but it isn’t.
After joining some 1-up and 2-up programs and network marketing program that didn’t work, you may have said to yourself, “I’m not spending any more money until I learn everything there is to know about this, so I don’t get burned again”. What happens next for many people is they spend almost all their time learning, and not enough time implementing. That is everyone’s reaction to failure and hurt: you retreat, isolate yourself, and “lick your wounds”.
Ask yourself what can be learned from those “mistakes” and write them down. That could be the most productive thing you do this year. Think! What lessons can be learned from these experiences, and how can you grow as a business person and move forward towards your eventual success? Writing these answers down will help you develop as a business person and internet marketer.
Another thing many aspiring marketers do is they decide to follow some alleged masters of marketing in order to learn from them. You may want to be spoon-fed their step-by-step guide on how to succeed, but you need to do what works for you. If you follow certain marketers long enough and read enough of their content, you will end up convincing yourself to copy their business plan. You have to be different in order to succeed and copying what works for others is a good idea but limited in its potential for you. Blaze your own trial and make this your very own unique business.
In other words, learn from those who truly are experts in their field, but create a business around your strengths and ways of communicating. If you can’t write or communicate effectively, then I really don’t see why you’re trying to become an internet marketer. Do you see business owners in the offline world hiding behind the counter whenever a potential customer walks through the door? Of course not, and your online business is no different.
Be brave, and put your best foot forward.
Create a good product and put your name on it.
Have a professional take your picture in a studio and put it on your websites, sales pages, and products.
Be extroverted in your communications to your potential customers and they will sit up and pay attention.
You have more than enough information on your computer right now to get started with building a business. If you’ve been sucked into a non-stop learning-do-nothing mode, then you’re going nowhere fast. There are so many different skills and talents needed to succeed in business that you can’t possibly master every single one of them without the experience to fine-tune those skills.
You don’t need to be a master of copywriting to get traffic to your sites.
You don’t need to be a traffic generation wizard to write an email to your lists.
You don’t need to learn everything about business before you start one.
No ebook or step-by-step blueprint can totally address your strengths and weakness and anticipate all your little questions. I have major problems with step-by-step guides because they make you want to turn your brain off and follow along blindly. Once you stop thinking for yourself, there isn’t any real learning taking place, nor is there any experience being gained. Internet marketing videos are definitely a good way to advance your skills as a marketer because they teach you the mechanics involved in internet marketing. Video tutorials do a great job of showing you exactly what to do, and they are the best kind of step-by-step guides out there. If you can’t follow along with a video tutorial, then there’s really no way to teach you anything unless someone takes you by the hand and show how to do everything. These people are called mentors and coaches, and the good ones cost anywhere from 600 a month to 5000 dollars a month. That’s why internet marketing videos are the best way to advance your business rapidly.
However, there is one very important skill that cannot be done for you. Thinking is the hardest thing to do with any business because nobody can help you with it. Have you ever read a guide that told you exactly how to think about building your business? If so, I’m pretty sure it didn’t help you because nobody can do your thinking for you. The direction you want to take your business all depends on your passions, strengths, skills and goals.
You need experience to really and truly know what it is that you’re good at.

I was talking to a client on Skype recently discussing his litany of mistakes and he inspired me to write this article. I’m reminded time and time again there are thousands of people doing the same things: joining program after program, failing, picking up the pieces and wondering where to go from there. When I spoke to him it reminded me of when I first started out online and made all the same mistakes he did. I told him that I had been exactly where he was now and wrote an 82-page report about the top ten internet marketing mistakes. Failures are wonderful things if you learn from them.
How can you move on once you’ve realized your mistakes? Well, first you make some mistakes, then learn from them. Then you try implementing new ideas and strategies and that’s the next hurdle. You know you need to build up a subscriber list so you spend time making squeeze pages and developing an autoresponder series. Developing these 2 skills takes a while for some people.
Then you move on and wonder if your email marketing is effective and you try to build a bigger list, which means you need more traffic to your sites in order to get more subscribers. All of a sudden, traffic generation becomes your main priority and you try to learn that skill. Now you’re building a business and experiencing the frustration that comes with implementing a lot of concepts at once. You may get disheartened here, and think to yourself, “there’s gotta be a better, faster, quicker, easier way!”. And you would be correct in assuming that. There is always a better way to do something and always a more effective method to implementing these concepts.
However, if you chase down the quicker and easier ways to building your business, you risk the danger of falling into the downward spiral of learning all the time without doing anything. Hunting down more effective ways to building a business online doesn’t add any worthwhile experiences that you can fall back on. How can you possibly expect to learn anything that is totally, 100% true without experiencing it yourself? That’s why you need to build your business one step at a time, and add to your experiences so you know what is true for you.
Experience should be your guiding light and the personal guru to which you can turn for real-world practical advice any time of the day, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Now, please don’t read this and interpret it as me advising you to not learn from other marketers. If you’re on an email list and that person isn’t teaching you anything or recommending valuable products, then unsubscribe from that list and find someone who really can help you.
Look around for people that teach and recommend, and not those people who are merely after your money. The reason I stress this point is simply because the marketers who teach and recommend instead of promote and sell are the truly successful ones. Those are the ones worth listening to, and that’s what you should be doing. My blog is called Internet Marketing Strategies for home based business owners for a reason. I love to teach and I do it through that blog. You will find strategies there to help you succeed with your business.
In summary, I’d like to outline the most important concepts of this article:
Failing is OK if you make a decision to learn from them
Learning all the time has no value unless you’re trying to implement
Gaining experience through implementation is key to your success
The more experience you have, the more accurate your thinking will be.
Nobody can do your thinking for you so you need to gain experience and knowledge via implementation (take action!)
