Little Italy Neighborhood Baltimore

Little Italy is a neighborhood located in the heart of the downtown renaissance in Baltimore Maryland.

I still remember visiting my grandfather Iannantuono during summer breaks at Fawn Street in Little Italy,. My grandfather would walk with me to Chiapparelli’s
and buy me an Italian meat ball sub for lunch and not to mention Vaccaro’s Cannoli, Cakes & Tiramisu.

Colombo bank was a savings and loan back in the day., they lend my parents the money to purchase our home in Fells Point Baltimore

Located just east of the Inner Harbor, it has one of Baltimore busiest neighborhoods restaurant .It is so named for the reason the huge Italian immigrant families that relocated into the neighborhood during the 20th century. Little Italy neighborhood is still home to a big and active Italian cultural community. Situated close to newly attractive neighborhoods like Fells Point, Upper Fells Point and Harbor East, Little Italy’s housing market is very hot, not least since turnover is low in the tight knit community.

Little Italy is also famous as one of the safest neighborhoods in the city of Baltimore as the neighborhood’s reputation is such to not permit crimes against the inhabitants triggered by outside gangs.

Little Italy is only a few blocks from the Shot Tower/Market Place station on the Baltimore Metro Subway and the southern last stop of the Jones Falls Expressway (I-83).

Each summer, the Little Italy neighborhood hosts an outdoor film festival. Free outdoor movies are projected onto a wall at the junction of High and Stiles Streets. Families bring lawn chairs, blankets and watch the movie from a parking
