I am so sick of Craiglist! I needed to find an apartment and was searching apartments in boston. There are so many bad apartment rental web sites out there, until a friend told me about BigCityApartments.com. There was no spamming of apartments by overzealous realtors every day to keep themselves at the top of the list so you look at the same apartment like 3 times. This is a very easy to use web site that is visually appealing while also providing me with a comprehensive search experience that I control!
After contacting them for permission to use them in my article, I have learned than BigCityApartments.com has quickly grown beyond Massachusetts to become the leading apartment rental hub in New England. They are close to launching their service in New York where they have received numerous requests to expand their services there.
I have a lot of friends down in NYC who will be happy to learn about this site when they launch there. Bigcityapartments.com provided me with the most comprehensive search all in one place. There is no need to use other apartment websites as well or pay for the service. New listings and new renters are on the website daily. As an apartment hunter, I can sign up to receive free e-mail updates as new apartments are added that match my apartment search criteria.
Private landlords also have to access to the website and are able to list their apartments for free. Once the property has been rented it stays on file and is able to be relisted at any time. There is no reason to go through a management company and loose commission on the property.
There are many real estate web sites that only offer apartments available listed by private landlords or those sites that only list apartments listed through a Realtor or property management company. This can make for disparate rental listing data, and requires you to search many web sites to view ALL available apartments.
